Dubai is a place that offers something extraordinary for everyone. Even those who have a special love for LEGO will not be disappointed. Here, children’s dreams turn into colorful reality.

Legoland Dubai is a family-themed amusement park that opened in the United Arab Emirates in 2016. It is the first Legoland built in the Middle East and the seventh of its kind worldwide. Although Dubai and its surroundings are filled with attractions for kids, for many young travelers, the world of LEGO is the ultimate thrill.

About Legoland in Dubai

Legoland Dubai is part of the larger Dubai Parks and Resorts complex. This park is designed for families with children and is divided into two separate zones. Legoland Theme Park will enchant all kids who dream of finding more LEGO sets under the Christmas tree, while Legoland Water Park will especially appeal to fans of LEGO who also love water fun.

Legoland Theme Park

The theme park, dedicated entirely to the world’s most famous bricks, is divided into six zones. Four of them revolve around specific themes – Imagination, Adventure, Kingdoms, and LEGO City. The remaining two areas include the Factory, where you can learn how LEGO bricks are made, and Miniland, featuring miniature LEGO buildings.

Factory – How are LEGO Bricks Made?

The journey through the world of LEGO begins where each colorful brick starts its life. The Factory Tour offers a unique opportunity to see how LEGO bricks are made in all shapes and colors. At the start of your visit, each participant receives a small gift – a LEGO brick freshly taken off the production line.

Miniland – Dubai in Miniature

Almost everyone is familiar with miniature parks where famous buildings can be seen from a different perspective. Legoland Dubai has its own version of this attraction. Miniland showcases Dubai’s skyline and the most famous landmarks of the Middle East, all built from LEGO bricks. If you visit at the right moment, you can also witness an impressive light show.

The buildings in Miniland were constructed using a staggering 20 million LEGO bricks, a figure that will surely impress even the most seasoned LEGO enthusiasts. Visitors also have the chance to create their own structures at the Build A City station, which features 10 meters of white LEGO bricks in all shapes.

LEGO City – A Child’s Dream Town

No trip to Legoland Dubai would be complete without visiting LEGO City. Here, children become real heroes of the city. They learn to drive boats, fly planes, and even receive their first driving license after completing a short course, all under the supervision of experienced instructors.

Not only older kids can hop into cars, as the park has also prepared vehicles for the youngest visitors. And if your little ones aren’t budding car enthusiasts, they’ll surely enjoy the playground inspired by a real port. But that’s not all—more exciting adventures await in LEGO City. The police need help catching dangerous thieves, and a burning building with its residents needs heroes who can put out the fire and prevent a disaster.

Imagination – Let Your Creativity Run Wild

The Imagination zone will stimulate your brain and challenge your creativity. You can build and test race cars made of LEGO bricks, program LEGO robots, and experience the special effects of a 4D cinema. The LEGO Technic Twister ride will leave you dizzy, and the Kid Power Tower will test which kids are the strongest.

Kingdoms – In the Heart of a Medieval Castle

The Kingdoms area transports visitors to a world of castles, dragons, knights, and princesses. Kids can ride two roller coasters that take them on a dragon’s back through the medieval castle. There’s also a LEGO version of the Round Table of King Arthur to explore.

Adventure – Time for an Adventure!

The Adventure zone is perfect for thrill-seekers. Your family can shoot water cannons during a boat ride or embark on an underwater treasure hunt. You’ll face mummies and skeletons in the Lost Kingdom Adventure to help the LEGO characters find treasure.

Legoland Water Park

Who says you can’t play with LEGO in the water? Legoland Water Park proves that you can. This water park offers a fantastic alternative for those who prefer water slides to regular amusement rides.

Water Fun for the Little Ones

Kids will completely immerse themselves in the water attractions at the LEGO Aquapark. They can enjoy surprise-filled playgrounds, glide on water mats, and encounter the charming animal characters from the LEGO Duplo series. You can also test your creativity by building a boat out of LEGO bricks, and if you want to combine creativity with fun, create a raft to help you cross the river. Don’t forget to jump into the special wave pool, which will make sure you don’t miss the ocean currents at all.

A Dose of Adrenaline

Families looking for more thrills will also find something to enjoy here. You can experience a freefall on a 60-meter open slide, try a closed tube slide, or tackle slides with unexpected twists and turns. The whole family can ride together on a raft down a winding course, and if you’re up for a bit of competition, take on the double slides for a thrilling race. Still not enough? Then join the queue for Splash ‘N’ Swirl—an attraction you should only try if you’re not afraid of a little dizziness!

LEGO Hotel

For those who want to fully immerse themselves in the world of LEGO, the opportunity to book a stay at the Legoland Hotel might be of interest. Not only does it offer accommodation just steps away from Legoland’s main entrance, but it also provides even more fun. Guests can participate in exclusive creative LEGO-building workshops, enjoy the swimming pool, or explore a castle built in the lobby. The hotel also features a store where you’ll find the best LEGO-themed souvenirs for fans of all ages.

Forget about boring rooms here. Each hotel room is themed around one of LEGO’s special series. You can feel like pirates, adventurers, knights, or characters from LEGO Friends or LEGO Ninjago. The kids will have their own space equipped with a personal TV and can also enjoy a detective game, solving puzzles to uncover a surprise waiting in the room. The hotel offers a 24-hour reception, buffet restaurant, garden, terrace, and bars for guests to enjoy.

Shopping at Legoland Dubai

A visit to Legoland wouldn’t be complete without a bit of shopping (or maybe even a lot!). You’ll find one of the largest selections of LEGO sets in this park, both in the theme park and water park sections. Be sure to visit the largest LEGO store in the Middle East, as well as a special pavilion dedicated to LEGO Friends toys. But that’s not all—you can also create your own custom mini-figure or buy individual LEGO bricks in any size, shape, or color at the souvenir kiosks.

Around Legoland Dubai

If you plan to spend more time around Legoland, it’s worth exploring other parks within the Dubai Parks & Resort complex. Kids will love the world’s largest inflatable castle park and a playground inspired by space and astronomy.

Motiongate Park will appeal to the whole family, as it’s the largest theme park in the Middle East dedicated to Hollywood. You can meet characters like Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, and even make a deal with John Wick. For a more relaxed atmosphere, head to the charming Riverland village for a coffee break, where you can take a quick trip around the world in this global-themed town. Or, if shopping is more your style, visit the Tuscany-inspired Dubai Outlet Village.

Where to Buy Tickets for Legoland Dubai

Each park requires a separate ticket, though you can purchase a combined ticket, which is often more cost-effective than buying each entry separately. Tickets for Legoland and other parks within Dubai Parks & Resort can be found on platforms like GetYourGuide.

To make the most of your visit and not miss any attractions, be sure to pick up a map of the entire park. You can download it from the official Legoland Dubai website or ask for one at the entrance. You might also want to ask the staff about the exact times and locations of LEGO characters’ appearances in the park, as they often show up unexpectedly to greet kids and take photos.

Getting to Legoland Dubai is easy with public transport, metro, or bus. If you’re driving around Dubai (car rentals are available through RentalCars), you won’t need to worry about parking—ticket holders can use the spacious, free parking lot.
